How is AI sentiment measured?

Tools submit a set of prompts, collect the answers, then classify each mention (positive, neutral, negative) with a language model. The result depends on the set, the classification method and the engine queried. Scores are not comparable from one tool to another.

What influences sentiment?

The sources the engine retrieves (reviews, press, forums, comparisons), the associations learned in parametric memory and the prompt wording. A brand associated with recurring problems on visible sources will be mentioned with reservations.

How do you use it?

Read the answers themselves rather than just the score: spot cited sources, repeated complaints, outdated information. Then fix at the source: content, objection-handling pages, review management, updated information. Track over time with repeated series.

Frequently asked questions

Is a sentiment score reliable?

It gives a trend. A manual check of a sample remains necessary.

Can I improve sentiment?

Indirectly, by acting on the sources and content that feed the answers.

Does sentiment matter as much as citation frequency?

The two are read together: strong presence with negative sentiment is a risk.
